The Higher Education Commission (HEC) is conducting the Law Admission Test (LAT) for entry into five-year undergraduate LLB programs at HEC-recognized public and private universities and affiliated colleges. The Education Testing Council (ETC) will administer the test.

- Purpose: Entry into 5-year LLB programs.
- Conducted By: Education Testing Council (ETC) on behalf of HEC.
- Eligibility:
- Passed Higher Secondary School Certificate (HSSC) or equivalent (Grade 12).
- Students awaiting results can also apply.
- Test Date (Tentative): Sunday, April 13, 2025. (Check www.hec.gov.pk or www.etc.hec.gov.pk for updates.)
- Registration Deadline: Sunday, March 16, 2025 (4 PM).
- Test Fee: Rs. 3000/- (Deposited via HEC online Account No. 17427900133401 in Habib Bank Limited).
- Passing Marks: 50 out of 100.
- Test Centers: Major cities of Pakistan (details on Roll Number Slip).
Test Pattern and Syllabus:
- Personal Statement: 15 marks (200 words maximum, English or Urdu).
- Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs):
- English: 20 marks (Synonyms, Antonyms, Prepositions).
- General Knowledge: 20 marks.
- Islamic Studies: 10 marks.
- Pakistan Studies: 10 marks.
- Urdu: 10 marks (Vocabulary).
- Mathematics: 15 marks (Basic Math).
How to Apply:
- Online Registration: Visit http://etc.hec.gov.pk/
- Fee Payment:
- Download the challan form after registration.
- Deposit Rs. 3000/- at any Habib Bank Limited branch.
- Keep the original deposit slip/ATM/online transfer slip.
- The original deposit slip must be presented at the test center.
- Roll Number Slip: Download from www.etc.hec.gov.pk one week before the test.
- Test Center Information: Included on the Roll Number Slip and via SMS.
